How I use ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs is the sound half of my AI stack: songs, voices, and sound effects. Here’s what each part does, where it fits in a real production, and where it still falls short.

What it does

The parts I actually use

Music

Music v2.5

Full songs from a text prompt, vocals included. I feed it prompts from my own Prompt Generator, so every generation starts from a real musical brief instead of a vague vibe.

Voice

Text to speech

Narration for videos, intros and promos. Pick a voice, paste a script, and it reads with natural pacing. No booth, no retakes.

Voice

Voice design

Describe the voice you want, or clone your own, so a whole series keeps one consistent narrator.

Sound design

Sound effects

Risers, impacts, whooshes and foley from a prompt. Faster than digging through sample folders when a transition needs something specific.

My workflow

Where it fits in a real production

  1. Start with a human brief

Key, tempo, mood and a reference track, written down before anything is generated.

  2. Generate in Music v2.5

Run several takes of the same prompt and keep the strongest section, not the whole song.

  3. Finish it in the DAW

Rebuild drums and bass around it, arrange and mix in Studio Pro. AI gives you the sketch; the record still gets finished by hand.

  4. Add voice and sound design

Narration, tags and transitions from ElevenLabs voices and sound effects.

  5. Hand it to picture

The finished track goes to Higgsfield for the music video. See that half →

Honest take

Where it shines, where it doesn’t

Shines

Use it for

Speed on voice work. Narration that used to take a session takes minutes.

Sound effects on demand. Specific, clean, and ready to drop on a timeline.

Song sketches. A fast way to hear an idea before committing studio time to it.

Falls short

Watch out for

Generic output from lazy prompts. Like every AI music tool, a vague prompt gives a vague song. The fix is a real brief.

Licensing changes. Check your current plan’s commercial-use terms before you release anything.
